GARY LESSING (CHAIRMAN)
Chief Executive Officer, Arginetix

Gary Lessing is a founder and Chief Executive Officer of Arginetix, Inc, a development-stage biotechnology company. Prior to joining Arginetix, Mr. Lessing was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Avalon Pharmaceuticals. While at Avalon, he participated in a wide range of strategic, operational, and financial issues including leading the Company’s initial public offering and completing strategic business development collaborations with Merck, Inc., MedImmune, Inc. and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Before joining Avalon, he was a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown (DBAB). At DBAB, Mr. Lessing completed approximately 75 public offerings and merger and acquisition transactions for healthcare clients. In addition, he served as the firm's Head of European Healthcare Investment Banking Group based in London with primary responsibility for serving life sciences and medical technology companies in Europe and Israel. Mr. Lessing has B.A. and M.S.E degrees in Mathematical Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

CHARLIE N. FONG
Director, Venture Capital, Business Development Bank of Canada

Charles Fong has been in Venture Capital since 1998. Prior to joining the Venture Capital industry he had 10 years of experience in start-up biotechnology companies, a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company and in bio-informatics.

JEREMY CURNOCK COOK
Executive Chairman and Founder of BioScience Managers Limited (BML)

Jeremy Curnock Cook is currently Executive Chairman and Founder of BioScience Managers. Prior to founding BioScience Managers in February 2001, Mr. Curnock Cook spent thirteen years at Rothschild, where he created and led the Rothschild Bioscience Unit, the international and multidisciplinary team responsible for the investment advisory and management of a number of funds. Mr. Curnock Cook was also responsible for the launch of the first dedicated biotechnology fund for the Australian market and the launch of a joint venture with Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation for the creation of Healthcare Ventures, an investment vehicle dedicated to seed stage investments in Europe. Before joining Rothschild in 1987, Mr. Curnock Cook founded the International Biochemicals Group (IBG) in 1975, which focused on the development and commercialization of products containing tailored microbial strains for application in industrial pollution control and agriculture. Following the successful sale of IBG to Royal Dutch Shell in 1985, Mr. Curnock Cook managed the integration process into Shell operations. Mr. Curnock Cook has served on more than 30 Boards of Directors in the life science sector in the United Kingdom, Europe, U.S., Canada, Japan and Australia. Current directorships include: Targeted Genetics, Inc. (USA) Chairman; Inflazyme Pharmaceuticals (Canada) Chairman; Osteologix, Inc. (USA); Biocompatibles International, plc (UK), and Silence Therapeutics, plc (UK). Mr. Curnock Cook received his MA in Natural Sciences from Trinity College in Dublin in 1971, and was a research scientist at the Institute of Cancer Research from 1972 to 1973.

MONIQUE LALIBERTE
Investment Manager, Funds, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec

Monique Laliberté is an Investments Manager with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec which she joined in 2002. She has more than 20 years of experience in business development, including financial, strategic and scientific evaluations for the biotechnology sector. Before joining the Caisse’s Venture Capital – Private Equity team, Ms. Laliberté was Vice-President, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals and Health Care at KPMG Corporate Finance Inc. She was previously a Vice-President with Milestone Medica Corporation. She was also Director, Business Development, at Æterna Laboratories Inc., Project Manager, Industrial Affairs, at the Biotechnology Research Institute of the National Research Council of Canada and a Microbiology Research Associate at Allelix Inc. Ms. Laliberté has authored several scientific articles. Ms. Laliberté holds a M.B.A. from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales, a M.S. from Université Laval and a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University.

SERGE LANGFORD
Managing Partner, Life Sciences, Multiple Capital

Serge Langford has nearly 17 years experience in Venture Capital, primarily in the life sciences sector and is currently Managing Partner, Life Sciences, with Multiple Capital, where he has been since April 2007. He is managing a portfolio of both private and public companies in the life sciences sector. Over the years, he has completed numerous life sciences transactions and has managed several key investments. Prior to Multiple Capital, he was Investment Manager with Desjardins Venture Capital for five years in the life science sector. He worked nearly 11 years for Solidarity Fund.

MARIO THOMAS
Vice President, T2C2/BIO 2000

Mario Thomas, Ph.D., is currently Partner and Vice President of Gestion T2C2/Bio Inc. and has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Prior to joining Gestion T2C2/Bio Inc. in October 2002, he was Chairman and CEO of Entomed SA, a biotech start-up based in Strasbourg, France. Previously, Dr. Thomas was recruited as President and CEO for TerraGen Discovery Inc., a biotech start-up based in Vancouver, Canada, which later merged with Boston, Massachusetts-based Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Thomas also served as Vice President, Business Development for the therapeutic division of BioChem Pharma. Dr. Thomas began his career at Johnson & Johnson Inc. in Canada in 1979 and in 1987 joined Burroughs Wellcome Inc. Dr. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from Laval University in Quebec City, Quebec and received a diploma in Business Administration from École des Hautes Études Commerciales at the University of Montreal.
